Summer Language Offerings
First Year SwahiliJune 4 - July 27, 2018
Participants in First-Year Swahili learn to understand and speak Swahili at the Novice High or Intermediate Low level. Participants who complete the course successfully will be able to navigate in an Swahili-speaking environment, engage comfortably in day-to-day exchanges, and participate in simple social exchanges in Swahili. They will have a solid foundation for further study or for traveling to southeastern Africa. Participants study 4 hours a day and earn 8 undergraduate credits or 6 graduate credits of First-Year Swahili. All courses are contingent upon enrollment and funding.
