Welcome to AAADS at IU!

The Department of African American and African Diaspora Studies (AAADS) provides a major in the discipline for both graduate and undergraduate students. Undergraduates may expand their studies by pursuing an interdepartmental major in African American and African diaspora studies and English, history, religious studies, or sociology. Graduates may choose an MA in AAADS alone or go into a joint degree program. In addition, minors are offered for both the BA and the MA, as well as for the PhD.
