Second Annual Creative Aging Festival to be Held in Bloomington

2nd Annual Creative Aging Festival - Celebrating Older Americans MonthThe Creative Aging Festival is a month-long celebration honoring our elders and their creative contributions to our community.  Throughout the month of May 2012, Bloomington area organizations are presenting a wide variety of events to raise awareness of the contributions of local elder artists, writers and performers.

Most of the Festival events are free and suitable for all ages.

The Festival is sponsored by The City of Bloomington Commission on Aging and the Center on Aging and Community at Indiana University. Along with showcasing the talents of our elders, the Festival’s purpose is to promote intergenerational understanding and to highlight the value of creative engagement for adult health and well-being.

Additional sponsors and a complete Creative Aging Festival calendar of events are posted on the City of Bloomington website.
