Baritone Timothy Noble has enjoyed an international career spanning forty-two years performing leading roles at major opera houses including the Metropolitan Opera, San Francisco Opera, Chicago Lyric Opera, Canadian Opera Company, La Fenice in Venice, Netherlands Opera in Amsterdam, and the Glyndebourne Festival. He has performed with the London Philharmonic, Concertgebouw Orchestra, Chicago Symphony, Cleveland Orchestra, Cincinnati Symphony, and has appeared at Carnegie Hall, the Hollywood Bowl, and the Ravinia Festival. He sang in recital for the NATS National Convention in 2004 and Classical Singer magazine convention in 2005.
Professor Noble serves as vocal consultant for the Canadian Opera Company Ensemble Program, and is the founder and director of the Charley Creek Foundation Tim Noble Workshop held each June in Wabash, In.
Noble's students have won the Metropolitan Opera Council
Auditions at the District, Regional, Semi-final and Grand Finals, the
Palm Beach Vocal Competition, Bel Canto Competition, Dallas Opera
Competition, and Matinee Musicale Competition. His students hold or
have held positions with the young artist programs of the Metropolitan
Opera, Merola of San Francisco Opera, St. Louis Opera, Santa Fe Opera,
Glimmerglass Opera, Opera North, San Diego Opera, Cincinnati Opera, and
Central City Opera. His students have also appeared in leading roles
at New York City Opera, Opera Omaha, Indianapolis Opera, and the Utah
Festival Opera. Two of his students are currently on the Metropolitan
Opera roster.
