Robert E. Pollock

Professor Pollock's research areas include nonneutral plasmas, storage ring and cyclotron design; nuclear reactions at intermediate energies.

Pollock received a Ph.D. in 1962 from Princeton University. He was a N.R.C. Postdoctoral Overseas Fellow at A.E.R.E., Harwell, England, 1963-64. He joined the IU faculty in 1970 and was awarded Distinguished Professor in 1984.

Pollock is a Fellow of the American Physical Society. He received an Alexander von Humboldt Senior U.S. Scientist Award in 1985, and was a co-recipient of APS Bonner Prize, 1992.

He has served on numerous committees and panels.
