DIET:  fruit, insects, nuts, seeds, eggs & young of other birds

The Blue Jay is found throughout most of the eastern United States. They live in oak and pine forests, and towns and surburban areas. Blue Jays can produce different sounding vocalizations, ranging from a harsh, slurring "jeeah" to musical "gueedle, gueedle". They can also mimic other birds, like the Red-Shouldered Hawk and the Red-Tailed Hawk calls.
