S P I N A L   C O R D   M O T O R   N E U R O N S This is a photograph of a small group of motor neurons within the spinal cord (in cross-section). The white in the middle is the neurons, with their cell bodies, dendrites, and axons. The area in the center of the spinal cord is called "grey matter" and is where spinal cord neurons are located.
