2000 News 

  • 2000 fall - Earl Blair joined AHS faculty in the Occupational Safety undergraduate program and Safety Management graduate program.

  • 2000 fall - Gordon Bennet, Jeanie Alter, and Jolene Boas joined PRC staff.

  • 2000 fall - Donna Pavey has worked for the University for 20 years.

  • 2000 spring - Thomas Tai-Seale has been awarded the inaugural Chancellor's Service-Learning Fellowship, and will use his award to teach "C501: Health Program Planning" that involves partnering with community-based organizations in Owen counties.

  • 2000 spring - AHS's external funding was in excess of $1.8 million for 1999-2000.

  • 2000 spring - AHS's doctoral program was recognized as the number one doctoral program in the nation.

  • 2000 spring - State Health Commissioner Dr. Richard Feldman will be a guest speaker at 1:30 p.m. in Whittenberger Auditorium at the Indiana Memorial Union. "Public Health Priorities in Indiana" will be the topic of the state's top health official in a talk at Indiana University on Feb. 28.

  • 1999 fall - William Yarber was appointed Research Fellow of the Kinsey Institute for Research in Sex, Gender, and Reproduction.  

  • 1999 fall - Mohammad Torabi was selected as one of Purdue's 1999 Distinguished Alumni.
