Associate in Safety Management (A.S.)
This is a “best kept secret:” Opportunities are abundant in safety for challenging, fulfilling and rewarding careers.
Introduction
This A.S. degree requires 64 credits, 39 credits in Health and Safety courses and 25 credits in General Education courses. It is a two-year program to prepare entry-level Safety specialists with a professional background. It may serve as a stand-alone degree or a foundation for students seeking a bachelor's degree in Safety Management.

- overview of public, industrial, traffic, recreation and home safety
- knowledge of general industry codes and standards
- knowledge of ergonomics and human factors

Job Outlook
The A.S. in Safety Management indicates the ability to do college level course work as well as expertise in safety.
