The new Automatic Academic Scholarship criteria are available for students applying for the Fall of 2009. You will notice that in addition to slight increases in requirements to stay consistent with the quality increases in the student profile, the top scholarship amount has increased from $8,000 to $9,000 per year to cover the cost of tuition for our highest achieving Indiana residents earning the IU Excellence Scholarship.

IU will now be offering scholarships to top students recognized by National Scholar Programs. In addition to the scholarships we currently offer to National Merit Finalists, starting in the fall of 2009 we will offer $4,000 scholarships ($1,000 per year, renewable for 4 years) to students recognized by the National Achievement Scholarship Program for African American students (through National Merit Scholarship Corporation) and the National Hispanic Recognition Program.

We now have a Spanish language page, with a pdf of our new printed Spanish language brochure.  IU is the only university among key competitors that offers information in Spanish regarding scholarship opportunities. We feel that this is a critical addition to our repertoire that will help us meet the needs of the growing Hispanic population in the state of Indiana and around the country.
