Black and Gold

Every year, the Gamma Eta Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. sponsors the Miss Black & Gold Scholarship Pageant, which is an initiative designed to uplift womanhood in the merit of scholarship, community service, and leadership on Indiana University’s campus.  The pageant is a national event within our Fraternity.  The winner of the pageant competition at Indiana University will advance to the district-level competition.  This year’s 21st Annual Miss Black & Gold Scholarship Pageant will be held at Alumni Hall on Sunday, February 16th, at 6:00 PM.

The Miss Black & Gold Scholarship Pageant is part of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated’s ongoing efforts to promote “Scholarship” while embracing “Love for all Mankind.”  We believe that this scholarship pageant will play a significant role in demonstrating the important work and service young women make in the Bloomington community.  Nine intelligent, humble contestants will be participating in this pageant.  Each of these young ladies have worked assiduously over past three months just to culminate and highlight their skills and talents.
