Help Us Celebrate Mu Chapter's 80th Anniversary

Please join us November 14, 2009. Celebrations will begin the morning of Saturday, November 14th and conclude with the banquet in the evening at Alumni Hall in the Indiana Memorial Union.

Itinerary:

11AM - Noon: Welcome Reception on Campus

We will divide up into groups for service

There will be a meeting at noon for those interested in starting an alumni association (location/directions will be sent out by Friday)

Noon - 4PM: Service

**We will also have service opportunities on campus and in the union available if you don’t want to travel to a service site.**

4PM - 7PM:

You will have time to get ready for banquet, take a campus tour, relax on campus or walk around town.

Where to Park When on Campus:
We recommend that you park in the Poplars Parking Garage located on 6th street. It is a short walk from campus, the Student Building (where the welcome reception is held) and the Indiana Memorial Union. The best part is parking in Poplars Garage is free on the weekends.

Service
We have decided to do a toiletry collection for Martha's House, a shelter here in Bloomington, as part of our 80th service efforts. Even if you can't attend the 80th please consider contributing to the service by donating some items. Items can be mailed to the office from now until Nov. 14th!

Here is more info: Martha’s House is a 28 bed emergency shelter for people experiencing homelessness. Along with giving a safe place to sleep, Martha’s House offers support, services, and supplies to help guests as they work to gain permanent residency of their own. In the midst of the declining economy and job layoffs, the demand for support at Martha’s House and similar service agencies is greater than ever in the Bloomington community.

YOU CAN HELP! Please donate supplies to help a homeless person maintain dignity in a time of need.

Martha’s House guests need:

• Razors
• Soap
• Travel soap dishes
• Socks
• Gloves
• Deodorant
• Shampoo
• Manila envelopes for important documents
• Pocket calendars to keep track of appointments
