Arbutus: Recent Awards
- 2005 Arbutus yearbook won the Gold Crown and Apple Award for best in show at the Columbia Scholastic Press Association.
- Silver Crown Award for the 2004 yearbook.
- Golden Crown Award 1996-2001 by the Columbia Scholastic Press Association. The Arbutus Yearbook is a finalist for the 2003 Gold Crown which will be awarded in March.
The Gold Crown is for outstanding achievement in the writing, editing, design and production of a superlative student publication through cooperative efforts of student, faculty and administrators which epitomizes the high ideals of from which this Association has drawn its strength and inspiration; In testimony whereof, the Gold Crown, the highest award given to a student publication by the Association.
- National Yearbook Pacemaker Award 1996-2001 and 2003, given by Associated Collegiate Press.
The Arbutus Yearbook is a finalist for the 2000 Pacemaker which will be awarded in late October.
The National Yearbook Pacemaker Award in recognition of general excellence and outstanding achievement in college yearbook in a national competition. This award is given by the Associated Collegiate Press and the Newspaper Association of America Foundation at the National College Media Convention.
- The Arbutus Yearbook was inducted to the Associated Collegiate Press Hall of Fame in 2001.
- 2001-2002 Indiana Collegiate Press Association Division I Yearbook of the Year Award.
