In addition to significant coverage of the prehistory of the northwest, the course will expose students to work that has been done on historic sites including sites reflecting Anglo-American, Afro-American, Asian American, and Native American communities. The course will also discuss the role of contemporary archaeology in planning and development projects and natural resource management including contemporary controversies related to cultural resources.
