Fellowships & Grants | Graduate Studies
Everyone who is planning to do research and research travel in 2007-2008 should start thinking about applying for research grants by the summer of 2006. Everyone who will have finished his or her exams and is interested in a Future Faculty Teaching Fellowship on an IU campus for the years 2007-2008 should also begin preparing. The grant application process takes a long time. With that in mind, I've established a timetable of grant application deadlines, with this guideline: you should begin work on your proposal, budget, and support materials 1 month to 6 weeks before the deadline. By at least 3 weeks to 1 month before the deadline you should have shown your draft proposal to your recommenders and asked for feedback and recommendations.
