Please join us in congratulating Monika Herzig on her book, David Baker -- A Legacy in Music, being named as a 2012 AAUP (Association of American University Press) Public and Secondary School Library Selection. Herzig's book was also given an outstanding rating. One reviewer wrote, "This inspiring biography of a brilliant jazz musician takes us from his Great Depression years and his European band tours as a trombonist, to his composing and teaching career at Indiana University." Additionally, under Herzig's guidance, recent Arts Management graduate Leanne Perice completed her Honors Thesis, which was selected to be published in the fall edition of the Music and Entertainment Industry Organization (MEIEA) Journal. The paper is titled "Music Entrepreneurs in the 21st Century: A Case Study on the Career of Jay-Z."
