Arts Admin Student Wins Professional Development Grant for Conference
December 15, 2011
Arts Administration student Max Long wins SPEA Auction and Gala Professional Development Grant for International Association of Venue Managers Performing Arts Managers Conference in New York City in February 2012. The Performing Arts Managers Conference is an annual gathering of performing arts professionals that focuses on the current needs and challenges facing performing arts venues and the staff that operate them. Averaging over 200 attendees annually, the conference is small enough to allow for excellent networking opportunities, extensive venue tours, and incredible guest lectures.
Max says "In terms of my professional goals, I am anxious to meet new people and reconnect with the professionals I met at PAMC 2011. I had an unbelievable experience last year because the activities planned introduced me to a number of like-minded individuals through face-to-face conversation, hands-on learning, and social hours. In one of the most arts-rich cities in the country, I believe this conference will be an incredible learning experience and a great opportunity to meet professionals that are shaping the performing arts industry."
