How to Apply

SPEA requires students applying to its undergraduate programs to have already completed 26 credit hours and a maximum of 75 credit hours at Indiana University Bloomington. Students are required to complete the introductory course SPEA-A 163 “Art Worlds: Management, Markets, and Policy” and have a cumulative GPA of 2.7 (B-). Students should apply for admission when they are enrolled in the preadmissions course SPEA-A 163.

The SPEA Admissions Committee reviews each application, looking for strong and consistent academic performance. Student selection is based on:

  • Cumulative GPA
  • Admission course GPA
  • Application semester GPA
  • Professional statement
  • Letters of recommendation (optional)

The deadline for applying to the Bachelor of Science in Arts Management is May 1st for the fall semester and December 1st for the spring semester.

APPLY ONLINE (current IUB students). For more information on the admissions process please visit the SPEA Undergraduate Admissions website.

Non-IU students interested in either the BSAM degree or Certificate in Arts Administration should visit the IUB Office of Admissions website.

More information on both of these programs can be found on the SPEA website and the Arts Administration website.
