Celebrating its 26th year in 2010, ArtsWeek is the annual winter festival showcasing the unique richness of artistic expression in Bloomington, Ind.

Sponsored in part by the IU President’s Office and the IU Office of the Vice Provost for Research, ArtsWeek offers dozens of exhibitions, performances, and family-friendly events featuring many modes of artistic expression from photography to sculpture to dance to drama. No longer able to contain itself, ArtsWeek now spans 10 days, from Feb. 18 to 28, 2010.

Join us at ArtsWeek 2010 for an experience that is sure to simulate and inspire!



'Arts and the Environment' theme set for 2010

The ArtsWeek committee has announced the theme for ArtsWeek 2010. It is Arts and the Environment. The theme is intended to be interpreted very broadly from the global climate to physical surroundings to architecture, interior design, and environments of sound.

ArtsWeek would not be possible without the hard work and dedication of its planning committee. Headed by Sherry Knighton-Schwandt from the IU Office of the Vice Provost for Research, the committee is made up of IU Bloomington faculty and staff members as well as members of the Bloomington community who have a vested interest in the promotion and celebration of the arts.

The ArtsWeek Committee meets the 2nd Wednesday of each month from 3-4:30 p.m. in Franklin Hall 106 unless otherwise noted.
