cultural, ethnic, and gender diversity, equity, and excellence.
Our Mission: Promoting Equity and Excellence

advocate for students, faculty, and staff of color and provider of
programs and services that promote diversity, equity, and excellence at
Indiana University.
Our Goals

increase the number of minority students who graduate from high school
with the requisite skills for college success.
- Increase the number of students admitted to IU and assisted by
the Hudson Holland Scholars Program, the Groups Student Support Services
Program, the Honors College, and the FASE (Faculty and Staff for Student
Excellence) Mentoring Program.

minorities and senior women hired in faculty positions.
- Work collaboratively with student organizations, faculty, and
administrative units to educate them on the value of diversity.
- Provide, through the ethnic cultural centers, a psychologically
supportive and culturally affirming environment in which students can
learn and develop.
- Work collaboratively with the IU Foundation to secure increased
financial assistance for students to study abroad.
- Work collaboratively with the Indiana Faculty Academic Leadership
Institute to incorporate principles of equity and diversity into the
