Rebecca Faulkenberry (BA'06) was among the last musical theatre graduates from the Individualized Major Program before the BFA in musical theatre was launched in 2007. Now she's starring on Broadway as Peter Parker's love interest. Rebecca debuted as Mary Jane in "Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark" on November 10, 2011, taking over from original cast member Jennifer Damiano. Professor Emeritus Ernest Bernhardt foresaw Rebecca's success at the time of her IMP final project review, writing that she "not only has great theatrical talent and potential but she has a good mind and writes lucidly and articulately. . . . She is always the part, even when she is not speaking or singing. That makes her a real actress."Massimo Scalabrini (Editor)
