Russ Lyons invited to speak at the ICM

Professor Russ Lyons has been invited to give a 45-minute lecture at the International Congress of Mathematicians to be held in Seoul, Korea in 2014. Professor Lyons is one of approximately dozen speakers in the section Probability and Statistics. These speakers report on the most interesting recent developments in the subject.
The International Congress is held every 4 years. A highlight is the presentation of the Fields Medals, given to the most outstanding mathematicians under 40 years old.
