Erkin Kuru awarded fellowship

Graduate student Erkin Kuru has been awarded a 2014 College of Arts and Sciences Dissertation Year Fellowship. Erkin is a member of Yves Brun's lab in the Department of Biology where he researches cell wall growth and dynamics. His analysis of bacterial cell walls may some day lead to new ways to design antibiotics.
