History grad student gives presentations

History graduate student Heather Vrana presented on a panel with graduate student Susan Eckelmann at the Society for the History of Children and Youth (SHCY) in late June. Heather also presented a paper at the Tepoztlan Institute for Transnational History of the Americas on July 27-August 3rd, entitled, "Inseguridad y Zozobra…Revolución!: Revolutionary youth reading dependency theory in Guatemala, 1965-1981"; and a third paper at Fordham University's Cities in History: Urban Identities Reconsidered on September 17th, entitled “From the ‘Factory of Professionals’ to the ‘Republic of Students’: Death Commemoration, Violence, and the Creation of Guatemalan Urban Youth."
