"Desencuentros: Sovereignty, Revolution, and Neo-Anarchism in Latin America"
Hosted by Patrick Dove (Spanish), Lessie Frazier (Gender Studies), Jeff Gould (History), and Danny James (History), the conference will include invited scholars from the US, Canada, the UK and Latin America who will discuss research related to the history of the Latin American left and its internal heterogeneities or disagreements. One of the goals of the conference will be to provide a space for exchange of ideas between disciplines, including literary studies, critical theory and history.
