Volume dedicated to Professor Billy Rhoades

Volume 56 of the Indian Journal of Mathematics will be dedicated to mathematics professor emeritus Billy Rhoades. Rhoades joined the IU faculty in 1966 and reached emeritus status in 1994. In addition to a productive research career, Rhoades has influenced national policy on training of mathematics teachers and mathematics majors. He has been a reader of the mathematics advanced placement exams. He was awarded the Distinguished Service Award and the Meritorious Service Award from the Indiana Section of the Mathematical Association of America.
The Indian Journal of Mathematics is currently soliciting articles for the special volume. The solicitation states "He has made numerous contributions to Summability Theory and Fixed Point Theory. He has published more than 378 papers. In addition he has served the mathematical community with a great sense of dedication and has a very large following throughout the world."
