T-Shirts
Commercialization of a religious Deity. Disrespectful, demeaning. Unimaginable if another religion's God was used, such as Allah Bash or Jesus Bash  Degrading to women in general, this image sends out the "Dragon Lady" stereotype of Asian Women, with geisha-like submissiveness and subjugated like it was a hundred years ago. Blatant play on the old racist joke "Two Wongs Don't Make a White." With slanty eyes and rice paddy hats, there is no equivocation in the racist nature of this caricature.

These two t-shirts resurrect the old stereotype that people with Asian descent have language and comprehension problems, especially together with the rice paddy hats and slanted eyes that are remnants of stereotypical imagery of APA few decades ago.

Abercrombie Spokesman Hampton Carney: "The thought was that everyone would love them, especially the Asian community.  We thought they were cheeky, irreverent and funny and everyone would love them. But that has not been the case."
