Resources for educators This
site contains many activities for mathematics and science using TI instructional
products. You will find graphing calculator activities on the following
mathematical topics: Algebra, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, and Calculus.
You will also find a list of conferences and workshops that would help
you and your students benefit from calculator technology.
-
Visualization
in Algebra The activities presented here are part of the
activities presented at the 1992+Plus+Workshop. This workshop focused
on ways to enhance students' power of visualization and their ability to
make connections in Algebra I and II. The TI-81 Graphing
Calculator was introduced and its use in any high school mathematics course
was emphasized. For a more exhaustive list or to find materials that
fit your own specific needs, you can also search the forum internet
resources collection from this site.

Teaching
Introductory Statistical Methods Using an Updated Sports Database
If you are looking for activities that incorporate Sports, TI-graphing
calculator, and Sketchpad, you are at the right place. The NFL -
PROSTAT is a program that teachers (grade 6 - 12) can use to help students
learn key concepts of Average, Variation around an average, Differences
between average, and correlation between variables. In addition,
mathematics teachers can use the created variables to reinforce math skills using decimals, ratio,
percent, and positive and negative numbers.

Graphing Calculator Teaching Materials
Textbooks, resource books, videos, and software for middle school, high
school, and college mathematics with a special focus on teaching
materials for the graphing calculators can be found here. Some of the textbooks include Calculus,
Concept and Calculators, Problem Solving with the TI-83, and TI-83 Enhanced
Statistics. For more listing on teaching resources, visit the Venture
Publishing site.
-
The Mathematics
of Change The 1993 Woodrow Wilson Leadership Program in Mathematics
site contains a collection of curriculum materials for k -
12. Most of the activities at the site make use of the TI-graphing
calculator.
-
Lesson
Plans This site contains overviews of units and objectives by
grade, lesson plans by grade, and GSP performance based unit tests for
each grade. This site is developed by Leslee Francis Pelton.
-
Calculus & Mathematica
This site is developed by University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and
Ohio State university department of mathematics education.
The calculus & Mathematica is an exciting new way to learn calculus,
differential equations, and matrix theory. Students no longer bound
to the traditional classroom setting, nor do they even need
to be on a college campus. Students in Calculus & Mathematica
use experimentation and real-life visualization to learn fundamental calculus
concepts and ideas. For students' activities and lesson plans, visit
this site.
-
Metropolitan
Mathematics Club Contains Internet activities which can be used
in the teaching of mathematics at the k - 12 levels.
-
K
- 12: Math in General Contains a collection of curriculum
materials for k - 12 mathematics teaching and learning which make use of
the TI-graphing calculator. Links to other mathematics
resources can also be assess from here.
-
Mathematical
Task Using Geometer's Sketchpad This site features mathematical activity which can be used in the
teaching and learning of the Geometer's sketchpad.
