Personnel

Larry Humes has directed the ARL since 1978. Current faculty and staff research collaborators include Dana (Wilson) Kinney, a collaborator since 1996, Diane Kewley-Port, Gary Kidd, Jennifer Lentz, from the Department of Speech and Hearing Sciences, Tom Busey, Jim Craig, Roger Rhodes and Emily Benton from the Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences, and Christopher Clark from the School of Optometry.

Gary Kidd, Ph.D.

Gary is an Associate Scientist in the Department of Speech and Hearing Sciences.   His research has included studies of the perception of complex sounds (speech, music, environmental sounds, as well as novel synthesized sounds) and individual differences in auditory abilities.  His collaboration with Dr. Humes began in 2009.

Dana is the ARL lab manager and has been working in some capacity in the ARL since 1996. She split her time for several years between the lab and the IU Hearing Clinic and has been working solely in the lab since 2006. Projects that Dana has been involved with include the Geriatric Hearing Aid Project (GHAP), Siemens and SoftEar hearing aid clinical trials, the VANTAGE project (multi-modal temporal processing/aging study), the Test Battery Study, the Training Study and is involved in current clinical trials.  She is also currently the American Journal of Audiology Editorial Assistant for the 2012-2014 term. 






Sara Brown, AuD, CCC-A

Sara joined the lab in the fall of 2011 after having completed her final year AuD externship at St. John's Mercy Medical Center in St. Louis, MO. She also
worked briefly for a local ENT office.
Sara worked on the Training Study and is involved in current clinical trials.

Annie joined the lab in July of 2012 after having completed her final year AuD externship at Columbia University Medical Center/New York Presbyterian Hospital.
Annie is involved in current clinical trials.

Tera joined the lab in August of 2012 after having completed her final year AuD externship at the South Texas Veterans Healthcare System in San Antonio, TX.
Tera is involved in current clinical trials.
