Thanks for visiting our website.  Information regarding the baker group's research efforts and personnel can be found at the links above.  In general, we are interested in developing nanometer scale electrochemical platforms for analytical and bioanalytical applications such as sensing and separations.  We are also interested in developing the nanomaterials and instrumentation necessary to probe such systems.  Many of the systems we explore are inspired from the evolutionary design of biological organisms.  A good example of this is our current work on nanometer scale pores that mimic the function of naturally occurring transmembrane proteins.
