Message from The Colonel
Director of Athletic Bands - David C. Woodley
Greetings from Bloomington!
Band Camp 2007 ended with the annual, friendly battle for bragging rights!
This year, the Trombones and Trumpets
were awarded the coveted "Section Competition" trophy on Saturday night in Memorial Stadium, topping off a very productive week.
We are in the process of starting our 2007 season - and what a season it will be!
The Marching Hundred will be performing at seven home football games, starting this Saturday vs. Indiana State - kickoff is at 8:00 p.m.
Join us for "The Walk to the Rock" at 5:45 p.m. just outside the East side of Memorial Stadium.
The Hundred will also be the featured halftime performers at the Colts opening season game on Thursday night, Sept. 6!
Our road trip this year will be Nov. 9-11, where we will travel to Chicago for IU vs. Northwestern.
The annual Band Showcase concert will be Thursday night, Nov. 1 in the Assembly Hall.
We hope ALL of you can join us for this great indoor event!
And we will have our BIG event - the awarding of the Sudler Intercollegiate Marching Trophy to the Hundred on October 20 at halftime of the Penn State/IU game.
The 2007 Marching Hundred is 250 members strong!
After a very warm band camp, we are now in daily rehearsals for our first performance this Saturday - our traditional pre-game show will be followed by the music of John Mellencamp at halftime.
We hope you'll also enjoy our post-game show, as we hope to celebrate a victory over the Sycamores!
Thanks for your continued support of the Hundred!
