Jeremiah Cosner

Mixing poetry with melody and adding the flair from glam rock n' roll, JEREMIAH COSNER's distinctive modern rock sound has made way for his lyrical jabs and strong hooks. When not in the classroom studying music at Indiana University, Cosner was out putting on live gigs, working up a late-nite tolerance, and writing like a mad man on anything from the walls to color coordinated paper that was scattered all over his room. "My dorm room was covered with posters of icons like McQueen, Dean, Hendrix, Morrison, and Dylan. The floors, little desk space, and counters were coated with phrases, chords, versus, poems, and an occasional assignment sheet. It was a lyrical layer, better yet a small square I called home. Now I act, react, and write in a world cluttered with consequences, decisions, and dreams."

After graduating from Indiana University's School of Music in Bloomington, Cosner recorded two records including "The Concrete Sailor" (2009) and the recent "HOLD STEADY EP" (2010) which was recorded at the world class Sound Kitchen in Nashville, TN after being invited by owner Ira Blonder, who compared Conser's writing style to that of The Beatles and Bob Dylan. The record was produced and mixed in a 4 day power session including Mike P. (Producer) and Pete Abbot on drums (Average White Band, Earth Wind & Fire.) Nearly four weeks after the EP was mixed, it was taken out to New York where Andy VanDette of MASTERdisk (RUSH, Panic! At the Disco, Kid Rock) polished the finishing touch. Since releasing Hold Steady EP in the summer of 2010, the Indianapolis based singer/songwriter has been touring around the Midwest performing in whiskey stops, coffee shops, and artistically flared theaters. Along the way he writes, shoots video, visits attractions, meets new people, and even meditates on top of the tour-van to escape from the rest.

Hold Steady EP is now available on iTunes, Amazon, and Rhapsody! 2011 Midwest "If you never try" Tour dates soon announced. Confirmed cities include Indianapolis, Nashville, Louisville, St. Louis, Bloomington, Columbus, and Chicago!
