Traveling by Car to the Indiana Memorial Union
From the North - S.R. 37
Take S.R. 37 until you reach the S.R. 45/46 Bypass. This exit is marked with signs for Assembly Hall/Memorial Stadium. Turn left, heading east. Proceed to College Avenue (there is a Denny's restaurant on the corner). Turn right onto College Avenue (this is a one-way street heading south toward downtown Bloomington) and proceed south to 7th Street. Turn left onto 7th Street (heading east). Follow 7th Street onto the IU campus. After 10 blocks, you will pass the Indiana Memorial Union on your right. Proceed to the circle drive entrance located on your right just past Ernie Pyle Hall, School of Journalism. Public parking is available off the circle drive and across the street from Ernie Pyle Hall.

From the West and Southwest - S.R. 45 or S.R. 48
Take Indiana State Routes 45 or 48 to Indiana State Route 37. Turn left onto the State Route 37, and continue north to Indiana State Routes 45 and 46 (the Bypass). Exit right onto the Bypass. Turn right at the second traffic signal (College Ave). Turn left onto 7th Street (heading east). Follow 7th Street onto the IU campus. After 10 blocks, you will pass the Indiana Memorial Union on your right. Proceed to the circle drive entrance located on your right just past Ernie Pyle Hall, School of Journalism. Public parking is available off the circle drive and across the street from Ernie Pyle Hall.

From the Northwest - S. R. 46
Follow Indiana State Route 46 until it intersects College Avenue. Turn right at College Avenue. Turn left onto 7th Street (heading east). Follow 7th Street onto the IU campus. After 10 blocks, you will pass the Indiana Memorial Union on your right. Proceed to the circle drive entrance located on your right just past Ernie Pyle Hall, School of Journalism. Public parking is available off the circle drive and across the street from Ernie Pyle Hall.

From the South - S.R. 37
Take Indiana State Route 37 around Bloomington until you reach the intersection of State Route 37 and State Routes 45 and 46 (the Bypass). Turn right onto the Bypass, then right at the second traffic signal (College Avenue). Turn left onto 7th Street (heading east). Follow 7th Street onto the IU campus. After 10 blocks, you will pass the Indiana Memorial Union on your right. Proceed to the circle drive entrance located on your right just past Ernie Pyle Hall, School of Journalism. Public parking is available off the circle drive and across the street from Ernie Pyle Hall.

From the East
Take Indiana State Route 46 until you enter Bloomington's residential and shopping area (College Mall will be on your left). Continue straight through the traffic signal on East Third (State Route 46 becomes East Third Street at this intersection while State Routes 45 and 46 Bypass turns to the right). Continue on Third Street (through traffic signals at High Street, Jordan Avenue, and Woodlawn Avenue) to a signal at Indiana Avenue. Turn right on Indiana (one-way north). Go four blocks north to the intersection with Seventh Street. Turn right onto Seventh Street. Continue east on Seventh Street (four blocks) to the Indiana Memorial Union. Turn right at the guard's gate into the circular drive that leads to the pay parking lot.

Parking on campus

Parking on campus is restricted. Visitors may park at a parking meter or in an attended parking lot, or they may purchase a visitor parking permit at the Indiana Memorial Union hotel desk. Hourly parking is permitted in the two Indiana Memorial Union lots ("VH" on map). A "Visitor A" parking permit entitles the visitor to park at any of the garages or surface lots marked "V" on map.

Traveling by Airplane

The Indianapolis International Airport is recommended as a destination for air flights. Limousine and bus shuttle services are available to bring you to Bloomington from Indianapolis.
