The CASA replaces the PRAXIS I, which is no longer being accepted for admission to teacher education programs in Indiana. PRAXIS II subject area assessments will continue to be accepted for teacher licensure until new subject area assessments are introduced by the new testing vendor. Parking Information

Examinees are responsible for knowing and understanding where they can park legally for testing appointments. The following general guidelines apply:

  • Pay Parking (Monday through Thursday; Friday until 5:00 p.m.)—Free parking for exams lasting more than two hours is not available during weekdays. Temporary parking permits for $8.00 (exact cash or check only – no credit/debit cards) can be purchased at the testing center on the day of testing. These spaces can be found in parking lots off Union Street (immediately south of Eigenmann between Eigenmann and Student Central) and Jefferson Street (immediately east of Eigenmann).
  • The permit must be displayed on the rear-view mirror of the vehicle facing out at the time it is parked. Please do not park in any “A” or “C” space without a valid permit.
  • Free Parking (Friday after 5:00 p.m. only; Saturday and Sunday until 11:00 p.m.)—Free parking from 5:00 p.m. on Friday through 11:00 p.m. on Sunday is available in any “D” parking space in the parking lot off Union Street (immediately south of Eigenmann — between Eigenmann and Student Central). Please do not park in any “A” or “C” space without a valid permit.
  • Two hour street parking only on weekdays may be available on Union Street. These spaces are quite limited and may not be available for all examinees. Street parking should not be used by examinees taking exams lasting more than two hours.
  • Parking in university lots without a valid parking permit during regular business hours or in an off-campus business parking lot may result in the vehicle behind ticketed and possibly towed. Please see the campus map at www.iub.edu or call the testing center at (812) 856-0684 for more information about parking.
