Logging in to BEST Web Applications
When you click on a link or access a URL to QuizSite, Post'Em or any other password protected location on the BEST web site your web browser will present you with a box like the ones shown here.

The Netscape Login Prompt

The Internet Explorer Login Prompt
Enter your IU Network ID which consists of your username and your network password. If you are using Internet Explorer, you may click on the box to save your password. This is not recommended if your computer is accessible by other users. After you have entered the required information click the OK button to proceed.
If an error message appears click on the "Reload" (Netscape) or "Refresh" (Internet Explorer) button to re-enter your information.
Problems?
- If you can log in but your username is not found, you may want to contact your instructor.
- If you are having a problem with your IU Network ID, you can check the UITS Online Help or contact the IUPUI or Bloomington IT Support Center.
- If you do not want Internet Explorer to automatically enter your username and password,
- Click on the "Tools" pull-down menu and select "Internet Options".
- Click on the "Content" tab.
- In the Personal Information section, click the "AutoComplete..." button.
- Uncheck the option labeled "Usernames and passwords on forms".
- In the Clear AutoComplete history section, click the "Clear Passwords" button.
- If Internet Explorer is not showing the login prompt at all,
- Click on the "Tools" pull-down menu and select "Internet Options".
- Click the "Security" tab.
- Click the Internet icon, and click the "Custom Level..." button.
- Scroll all the way to the bottom to the "User Authentication" section.
- Under "Logon", select "Prompt for user name and password" and click OK, Yes, OK.
