Who Has Access?

Another feature of Post'Em is the ability to grant authority to other users to post scores for a class. Initially, only the person who creates the account has this right. You may add or delete other users you authorize to have access to the scores any time after you have created your account. This means they will have all the access rights and capabilities you have, from submitting, updating, and viewing scores, to allowing others to have these rights, too.

Suppose Greg wants to grant access rights to the instructor, Mr. Kotter, and Adrian, another AI. Greg opens the URL for Post'Em then fills in the appropriate information, and clicks OK. The following screen presents a textbox with the usernames of the people who are currently authorized to access the account for that particular class. If there is more than one person, their usernames will be separated by ampersands in the textbox. To add more users, simply type an ampersand (&) after the last user, and add any other usernames, separating each username by an ampersand. Do not put any spaces between the ampersands or the usernames, or those users may have difficulty logging into the system. This is what Greg saw:

ghanek
so he added:

ghanek&gkotter&dgerman
then clicked the OK  button. These other users now have immediate access to the account. As confirmation of the change in access rights, a list is presented in the next screen, specifying the usernames of those who now have access. This allows you to check for any gross errors made while typing the usernames.

This authorizing process has a safeguard. The user granting access to others cannot accidentally remove their own name from those who have access. So if you were to erase all names from the textbox and proceed, you would remain as an authorized user for that class.
