A co-owner of a departmental account works with the account to administer departmental course evaluations with all of the capabilities of the owner of the account. This differs from authoring rights, in that the co-owner can:
This feature is meant to make the program more accessible to departmental secretaries, reduce their reliance on us, and reduce the amount of time between the instructor's request for a course evaluation and the student's ability to complete it.
It is not intended to increase the workload of departmental secretaries, and it may still be easier for us to do certain things. For example, we can set up a large batch of similar accounts using a script. You should still feel free to contact us for any request or assistance.
It is possible to be the co-owner of more than one account and for an account to have more than one co-owner.
Note that to assure the integrity and anonymity of the evaluation data, instructors should not normally administer their own course evaluations for official use, though they are encouraged to create course evaluations for personal use. Many instructors conduct their own mid-term evaluations, for example.
