Floyd Award for Outstanding Publication in Microbiology
The Floyd Award for Outstanding Publication in Microbiology may be applied for only in conjunction with an application for the Floyd Microbiology Summer Fellowship.
The student does not need to remain enrolled to receive this award (ie. may have already graduated).
An award will be made for the most outstanding publication in Microbiology by a graduate student.
(For current students this award will supplement the student’s stipend, i.e., it will not be counted towards the stipend.)
Special Application Materials:
Submit all materials required for the Floyd Microbiology Summer Fellowship by the deadline, including the information required of the student and the separate statement from the thesis advisor, and also:
- Include a copy of your best publication with your Floyd Microbiology Summer Fellowship application.
- Have your mentor write a short description of the importance and impact of the publication.
