Floyd Plant & Fungal Biology Summer Fellowship

Eligible:

The Floyd Plant Summer Fellowship is available for students conducting thesis research related to plant or fungal biology in Biology faculty labs. Doctoral students may be from any graduate program; masters students must be from a Biology graduate program.

Note: Students whose research deals with plant-microbe interactions and focuses mostly on the microbial side should apply for the Floyd Microbiology Fellowship.

Criteria:

To be eligible students must be making progress towards their degree and be engaged full-time in dissertation or thesis-related activities (research and/or classwork) during the summer.

Award:

Not yet determined.

(If a student receives another award–such as the Hudock, or another fellowship–the Floyd fellowship may be used to supplement that award to a maximum total of $3,000.)

Special Application Materials:

Submit all materials listed on the application form.

A letter of endorsement must be submitted separately by the faculty advisor assessing student progress, and agreeing with the projected completion date.
