Alfred Parson Mower Fellowship

Established by Tracy L. Lawhon Parrott in 2011 in memory of her grandfather, Alfred Parson Mower, who funded her undergraduate education. Initially open to undergraduates only, the award was expanded to allow graduate student applications in 2012.


Open to select graduate students with a declared major from the IUB Department of Biology. Note: There is no residency requirement for graduate student applicants.


Graduate student applicants must be in good academic standing.


$1,500. This competitive award will be disbursed during the summer.

Up to three letters of support must be submitted separately by your faculty member(s).
