Meeting Areas
Baxter Dining Hall, the Woods’ main dining facility can accommodate up to 258 people for a meeting or banquet. Accented by picture windows and skylights, the dining hall not only provides excellent food but a great view of Baxter Village and the surrounding forest. This centrally-located dining facility provides food service, ranging from family-style meals to catered formal dinners.
The Interpretive Center doubles as a hands-on learning facility and a small meeting room. The Interpretive Center is home to the Altum Sensory Garden and contains numerous bird watching areas. The indoor classroom also has a wide range of learning resources about animals and the environment. When the facility is not being used for environmental education programs, it can be used for small business meetings and breakout sessions for up to 75 people.
Cross Keys Inn offers full service dining hall/meeting facility for up to 100 people. Air conditioned to keep you cool in the summer, Cross Keys Inn also has a rustic stone fireplace to keep you warm in the winter. This facility is excellent for large group meetings and has a full service kitchen to accommodate food service.

The recently renovated Carr Center is another popular meeting venue. The facility has tables and chairs for more than 100 people, a built-in LCD projector, white board, projection screen and stationary easel/flip chart. It has a spacious wooden deck with comfortable Adirondack chairs and a gorgeous view of the woods and lake.
The Activity Center doubles as a hands-on learning facility and a small meeting room. The Activity Center is often used for crafts and games for elementary school groups. When the facility is not being used for environmental education programs, it can be used for small business meetings and breakout sessions for up to 50 people.
