Indiana University's Connect Meeting Service
Indiana University offers Connect (formerly Breeze) Meeting to faculty and staff who want to use Web conferencing for their meetings and classes. Connect gives you a virtual meeting/classroom for sharing your presentations, images, and desktop applications with remote participants and students. Other features include text chat, polling, audio/video broadcasting, and a digital whiteboard. To join your Connect meeting, your guests need only a Web browser with the Flash plugin (almost all computers have this already) and a broadband Internet connection.
Note: This service was named Breeze before Adobe changed the name to Connect so you're likely to hear it called Breeze and Connect interchangeably.
Connect Meeting accounts
- To host Connect meetings, IU faculty and staff should apply for an account on the Connect server. Students and meeting guests don't need an account on the server. They can enter your Connect room by using the guest log in.

Downloads
- All Connect users need the Flash Player. This Adobe Web page will determine if the Flash Player is installed on your computer and report the version.
- To be a Host or Presenter in a Connect Meeting, you need the Connect Meeting Add-in. It installs the first time you join a Connect meeting as a Host or Presenter, or the first time you are promoted to Host or Presenter. If you'd like to install it ahead of time, it is available for Windows or Macintosh.
