Next Meetings: The Week of September 14-19th
Volunteer. Meet new people. Teach kids and teens about your interest areas. Stop by our first meeting to learn more! Everyone is welcome!
Our club resides on the Indiana University Bloomington campus and serves Monroe County 4-H, the community and 4-H members across the state.
We provide leadership training seminars for 4-H members, conduct dozens
of service projects each month, offer many leadership opportunities to
fit your schedule, and hold fun social events.
Whether you have been involved with 4-H in the past, or this is your
first experience, you'll find that IU Collegiate 4-H has much to offer
you.
Send an e-mail to iucollegiate4h-subscribe@yahoogroups.com to hear more about IU Collegiate 4-H!
IU Collegiate 4-H will:
- Provide opportunities for 4-H alumni to extend their involvement after high school
- Provide social opportunities with other students with similar interests or backgrounds
- Present leadership opportunities
- Encourage teamwork skills
- Provide opportunities for community service projects
- Mentor younger 4-H members
- Give back to the state 4-H program
- Promote 4-H volunteerism at local, district and state levels
What is Collegiate 4-H? Is it the same as being a 4-H club member?
Collegiate 4-H is different from 4-H clubs, as we don't take 4-H projects. Instead we socialize with each other, create new programs (like campus visits, retreats, etc) for 4-H members, help local 4-H clubs, the county program or statewide 4-H events, and participate in community service!
Are there other clubs? What do they do?
There's a few regional and national conferences that allow us the opportunity to travel and network! You can also see what other Collegiate 4-H clubs do by visiting the national website: http://www.collegiate4h.org/links.asp to see other clubs' sites.
