Club members assist in determining the club's program for the year. Club officers and committee chairs serve the members by organizing events with the help of other members. Rides are provided to off campus activities!
We are in the process of planning our activities for the fall
semester to fit the interests of our members. Please fill out a member
interest survey at one of our meetings, so we can begin planning
activities and service projects around your interests!
Activities can include:
- Creating new programs (like campus visits, retreats, etc) for 4-H members
- Helping local 4-H clubs, the county program or statewide 4-H events
- Participating in community service
- Mentoring
- Holding a "Visit IU" weekend for 4-H teens to stay overnight with us, see IU, attend classes, tour campus and experience life as a college student
- Celebrating 4-H Week
- Volunteer with local clubs
- Provide leadership training to local counties' 4-H clubs
- Hosting a winter 4-H camp at IU
- Lots of community service
- Visit nearby counties to train county's 4-H Officers, from just clubs to Junior Leaders, about the various officer positions and duties
- Judging 4-H projects
- Staff 4-H camps during the summer
- Volunteering in an afterschool program and teaching kids about 4-H
- Any way you want to be involved with 4-H!
- Social events such as bowling, kayaking, camping trip, board game night, laser tag, ice skating, club BBQ, potlucks, ice cream trips
