The Center on Aging and Aged offers internships, graduate assistantships, and work-study opportunities for students interested in studying for a career in the field of aging. Faculty at the Center can also help coordinate internships and practicums in the field for students in gerontology. Center faculty can also help you with career advising and placement. Examples of placements and internships include:

• Research experiences at the University of Chicago at Illinois

• Coordinating a wellness program for faculty and staff at Cornell University

• Teaching courses at Indiana State University

• Leading classes and counseling at a wellness retreat and spa in Minnesota

• Directing a community center that serves older adults in New York City

• Pursuing graduate work at other universities after completing an undergraduate program at Indiana University
