Quadruple Guggenheims!

No fewer than FOUR colleagues in the Arts and Humanities at IUB have been awarded Guggenheims—Ross Gay, Rob Fulk, David Haberman, and Bill Johnston.

Rob Fulk (Department of English) will work on “A Comparative Grammar of Early Germanic Languages.”

Ross Gay (Creative Writing Program, Department of English) won in the poetry category to pursue his current poetry focused on everyday life and the politics of land use.

David Haberman (Department of Religious Studies) will work on a study titled “Worship on Mount Govardhan:  Making the Impossible Possible.”

Bill Johnston (Department of Comparative Literature) will work on a translation of Polish poet Adam Mickiewicz’s “Pan Tadeusz,” an epic poem in rhyming couplets.
