Theory Center Reading Group Reads Heidegger’s Contributions to Philosophy

Friday, March 22, 2019, 2:00pm

College Arts & Humanities Institute (1211 E Atwater Ave.)

In Spring 2019, the Theory Center reading group engages with Martin Heidegger’s Beiträge zur Philosophie (Vom Ereignis), written in 1936-38 but not published until 1989. Here Heidegger sets out to rethink many of the key ideas he set forth in his masterpiece, Being and Time. The reading group will use the more recent 2012 translation by Richard Wojcewicz and Daniela Vallega-Neu, Contributions to Philosophy (Of the Event), published by Indiana University Press.

The group will meet each Friday, 2pm-3:30pm, at the College Arts & Humanities Institute (located at 1211 E. Atwater Avenue, Bloomington). For more information, please visit the Theory Center website.
