Check out the interview here: FOX NEWS INTERVIEW CAN Lab was featured in the Indiana University 2010 Annual Report: Our lab was recently featured in the “People - Neurosciences” section of the Indiana University 2010 Annual Report on Page 11. Here is a small excerpt: ‘How can I tell what I think till I see what I say?’ The British novelist E.M. Forster posed this question in an essay on aspects of novel-writing, but the question may equally apply to the pint-size participants in research conducted by Karin James. CAN lab welcomes elementary school students to tour our facilities! As part of our initiative to educate the general public about the importance of research we recently had elementary school students from the Bloomington community come to our lab to to tour our facilities and learn about the types of research going on in our lab. Here are some photos - they had a great time! Dr. James presents CAN lab research to the American Association of School Administrators. On January 23, 2012, Dr. James went to an educational summit entitled “Handwriting in the 21st Century” in Washington, DC, to discuss current handwriting research being conducted in the CAN lab. The goal of this summit was to discuss the controversy over the role of handwriting instruction, especially cursive, in schools.
