Education and Certifications
- Elaine has always had an interest in career development, whether it involved her own career or those around her. In fact, assisting friends and family in their job searches is one of her favorite activities! Unsure about her own career path and never wanting to be boxed in to a certain type of job after receiving her undergraduate degree, Elaine got to know herself through exploring several different opportunities that included working at a summer camp, working as an Employment Consultant for Stone Belt, returning to graduate school, leading wine tastings at Oliver Winery, and working for Indiana University Disability Services for Students Office. The common theme in these various positions is Elaine´s passion for working with others. She especially enjoys working with college students in discovering what it is that lights them up when they learn about what their values, interests, personality, and skills say about their career interests. Helping students find career paths that brighten that excitement is one of her favorite parts of working at the Career Development Center.
