Jan Van Dyke, Senior Assistant Director, Specialized Career Advising

Responsibilities

• Teach career courses and advise students
• Design and conduct outreach presentations on CDC/ASCS services or aspects of career development
• Other special projects, as assigned

 

Education and Certifications

• Master of Science (Counseling in Higher Education), West Chester University
• Bachelor of Arts (General Arts and Sciences), Penn State University

For 11 years, Jan served as a director for career services at liberal arts colleges and a community college. Prior to his work in higher education, he held various positions in the non-profit sector. He was director of a non-profit organization as well as a volunteer for VISTA (Volunteer In Service To America). Jan was also a member of the U.S. Senate staff and held various positions in political campaigns, including serving as campaign manager for a U.S. congressional candidate.
